My lessons are structured primarily around interaction, because I believe that true proficiency in Arabic develops not through rote memorization but through meaningful, real-time communicative exchange. Drawing on my OPI certification and TBR training, I design each session around a task or problem that students must solve together using the target language, rather than starting with grammar rules or vocabulary lists. A typical lesson opens with a low-stakes interpersonal warm-up, then moves into a guided interaction where pairs or small groups negotiate meaning to complete an authentic task,such as making a request, resolving a misunderstanding, or interpreting a short text. Throughout, I act as a facilitator, listening for breakdowns and providing just-in-time support, followed by a debrief that focuses not only on accuracy but also on cross-cultural pragmatics, such as appropriate greetings or polite refusal strategies. This interaction-driven structure ensures that students are constantly using Arabic as a living tool for communication, which aligns with the OPI's emphasis on spontaneous, unrehearsed language use and with my TAFL expertise in addressing challenges like diglossia and root patterns in context. Ultimately, interaction is not one activity among many in my classroom, it is the engine of every lesson
