ABOUT ME:
I am a native German speaker but I also speak English, Spanish and Portuguese fluently and I am currently learning Italian. I am a qualified teacher with a CELTA certificate. For the past years, I have been teaching languages, at language institutes, at my university and online. I have academic and professional experience in different counties like Brazil, Colombia, Portugal and Australia. I love to work with students from different countries because I am learning a lot about different cultures, countries and mindsets. I hold a Bachelor degree in lingusitics and a Master degree in Intercultural Communication and Business.

MY CLASSES:
I try to make my lessons engaging and motivating, I ask my students questions create lots of speaking oportunities. I am a grammar freak and I enjoy helping you to understand the sometimes confusing rules of grammar and bring more structure into your language learning brains. I also love speaking lessons to chat with my students and support you with fluency, langauge correction and applying grammar in speaking. Depending on the student's needs I individualize the classes to focus on the specific areas you want to improve. In our first lesson we can discuss everything and we can adjust the focus of the classes whenever necessary.

MY MOTIVATION:
I believe that knowing foreign languages provides us different perspectives on our lives and I enjoy teaching because I want to help others to create new personal and professional opportunities. Every lesson with Annika was very valuable as 1) she always had a plan based on my needs, 2) clarified any open question by providing additional information, materials or spending more time on that topic 3) made notes from every lesson and shared them regularly 4) provided clear guidance on what to focus on and gave me homework to advance my German between the lessons 5) always allowed time to reflect and share feedback. The Ebook with exercises Annika shared with me was very helpful learning tool to make notes as well as to exchange during lessons. In addition to language, Annika also shared stories related to German culture, history what added value to my learning. In summary, Annika is very professional, responsible, passionate teacher, who motivates to learn new language and makes it easy to succeed and stay engaged while learning.

Annika is really a professional language teacher. In our lessons she always supported me with everything needed, she prepared a great report after each lesson. We had a lot of fun together, therefore our lessons were interesting for me. I was looking forward to every meeting with Annika. She is responsible, very wise, friendly, nice and most importantly, she is able to keep your attention during the lesson. She never pushed me into something I didn't want, on the contrary, she always asked what I was interested in and we continued according to my preference, as long as the situation allowed. I can definitely suggest her as a teacher and if I had the chance, I would repeat the lessons with her :) All the best in your further language teacher career Annika !
