Alvaro Saavedra Castillo

I'm Álvaro, a native Spanish teacher from Peru with international experience in education, communication and intercultural projects. I've taught Spanish to students of different levels and backgrounds, always adapting each lesson to the learner’s goals; whether it's for travel, work, conversation or personal growth.

My teaching style is communicative and practical. I focus on helping students use Spanish in real-life situations through conversation, vocabulary, grammar in context, listening practice and cultural elements from across the Spanish-speaking world. I design my own materials and also use songs, videos, texts and visual tools to make each session engaging and effective.

I lived in France, where I was part of a national volunteering program and supported international delegations during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. These experiences strengthened my ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and adjust to different learning styles.

I’m also a passionate language learner myself: I speak English, French and Portuguese, and continue learning new languages on my own. This helps me understand the challenges students face and offer strategies that actually work.

My lessons are friendly, dynamic and centred on the student. I aim to build a space where you feel confident to speak, ask questions and progress naturally. I'm also very charismatic, you’ll feel comfortable, motivated, and most likely laugh a lot during our classes. Learning Spanish should be fun, and I make sure it is.

While I mainly focus on Spanish, I also offer lessons in French and English for beginner and intermediate learners. Although I live in Peru, I teach students from Germany and other countries online.
