In my role as a Math Intervention Teacher for middle school students (Grades 6–8), my teaching focuses on reinforcing foundational mathematical skills and supporting students who need additional guidance to build confidence in math. In my role as a Math Intervention Teacher for middle school students (Grades 6–8), my teaching focuses on reinforcing foundational mathematical skills and supporting students who need additional guidance to build confidence in math. My lessons typically emphasize clarity, structure, and step-by-step reasoning so that students can fully understand the concepts being taught.

I use a variety of teaching methods, including direct instruction, guided practice, and collaborative problem solving. During lessons, I often model how to approach a problem, explain the reasoning behind each step, and then allow students to practice with support. Visual explanations, examples from real-life situations, and interactive questioning are key parts of my instruction, as they help students connect abstract mathematical ideas to practical understanding.

Because intervention classes usually include students with different levels of ability, I focus strongly on differentiation. I provide additional scaffolding for students who need more support, such as breaking problems into smaller steps or reviewing prerequisite skills. At the same time, I encourage students who grasp concepts more quickly to extend their thinking through more challenging problems.

Overall, my classroom environment emphasizes patience, encouragement, and active participation. My goal is not only to help students improve their mathematical performance but also to develop their confidence and willingness to engage with challenging material.
