Hi everyone! I’m Hanna, and I’m really happy to be your English teacher! I’m originally from Poland, but I’ve lived in the UK for almost 20 years and I currently live in Portugal. I have a background in Special Education and Therapy, and I’ve spent many years supporting people with different learning needs and challenges. I’m also CELTA-qualified, so teaching languages is something I’m really passionate about. I also speak Polish and teach Polish, so I know what it feels like to learn a foreign language — including those moments when you know the word in your head but somehow it disappears when you need to say it! 😄 What can you expect from my lessons? I want my lessons to be a relaxed and friendly place where you can speak, make mistakes, ask questions and have fun. You can expect: Lots of speaking and real-life conversation Practical English that you can actually use Games, quizzes and interactive activities Clear explanations when something is difficult A good sense of humour — because learning English doesn't have to be boring! Encouragement and support, especially when you're not confident I believe that making mistakes is a normal and important part of learning. So don't worry about speaking perfect English from the beginning — we are here to practise! A few fun facts about me... I’m Polish, but I’ve lived in the UK and now live in Portugal. I love languages and learning about different cultures. I’m a dog lover. My favourite season is autumn — I love the colours, cosy atmosphere and, of course, Halloween! 🎃 I enjoy travelling and discovering new places. And one more thing... I’m also a language learner myself!** I’m learning Portuguese, so I know exactly how frustrating it can be when you understand something but can't quite find the words!
